In a dynamic and constantly evolving urban context like that of Bogotá, the assessment and preservation of modern architectural heritage become a significant challenge, as Modern Architecture, with its focus on innovation and functionality, has left an imprint on the city that needs to be appreciated. Within this framework, the question arises as to how these relatively recent architectures have been safeguarded as heritage. This research focuses on exploring that question, aiming to develop a contextualized appreciation of Bogotá's modern architecture based on its attributes and local contributions. The goal is to associate them, taking a holistic perspective to complicate readings of the architectural object and enhance the heritage valuation compiled in the declarations. These declarations are not only management mechanisms but gradually evolve into historical documents.
