The life of the majority of Bogota citizens is determined by private common areas, present in the housing unit, implemented since the middle of the last century as a new high-rise housing system. Over time, these common areas have changed their configuration, modifying their role in the human being's way of life; For this reason, four multifamily housing projects were chosen in Bogotá, one project for each nuance of housing development, defined in the book by Ceballos y Saldarriaga, Vivienda social en Colombia. From this information, a work of comparison and assessment of these areas is carried out on the basis of their meaning and the influence on the lives of the inhabitants in light of cultural ecologcy.
