Child labor is a social phenomenon that Colombia through the adoption of ILO Convention 182 in 1992 to be eradicated with the implementation of public policies. However the situation of children who are exploited at work requires special attention by the Colombian State protecting and restoring the rights of children who are in this condition; Unfortunately the authorities responsible for the care of children exploited at work in most cases is not effective since attention is not timely and results in unnecessary procedures that dilate the intervention. Within the program of specialization in Family Law at the University of Gran Colombia, this research group makes a reflection on the situation in which children under 14 who are exploited at work and concern are the lack of efficacy the entities that are responsible for ensuring their rights.
