The municipality of Providencia and Santa Catalina is in a critical environmental and socioeconomic situation because it went through two hurricanes, La Niña phenomenon and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. For this reason, this study carried out an exhaustive analysis of the municipality in social, cultural, economic, environmental and functional aspects; seeking to respond to this problem through the design of a progressive and flexible housing prototype that adapts to users, to the surrounding conditions and to environmental threats; in addition to integrating work and study at home as a response to the new normal as a result of the pandemic. On the other hand, the study had a greater scope by proposing a housing group that will be articulated with the Municipal Development Plan, exemplifying the location of several prototypes within the territory.
