Obesity is one of the most prevalent chronic noncommunicable diseases in the world population. By 2016, more than 1.9 million adults over 18 years of age and over 650 million were obese. Currently, more deaths from overweight or obesity than from low weight are reported. For the same year, 17.9 million deaths were reported due to cardiovascular diseases alone. In the same way, according to the latest National Survey of Health and Nutrition Examination of the USA. In the US, the highest death rates per year occur in subjects with low weight and obesity, deaths in overweight subjects were lower compared to all other classifications. Thus, as different studies are currently carried out where the implications of obesity in the development of these heart diseases are determined. Therefore, this study sought to identify the effects of obesity on the prognosis of clinical evolution in patients with heart failure according to the scientific literature published between 2015 and 2019.
