Iron deficiency anemia constitutes 90% of childhood anemias, being in most cases classified as mild, moderate, and severe. The age group most affected by iron deficiency are infants and young children, because they are in a period of rapid growth and development. Accordingly, the objective of this investigation was to evaluate the efficiency of a moringa-fortified arequipe in the control of iron deficiency anemia in children of the friend of the neighbor foundation in Villa del Rosario in 2019. Within The methodology to be followed, an explanatory research and experimental design was structured in a population of 98 infants for the diagnostic test, which consisted of surveying parents, in the analytical phase, the first sampling was carried out, for its subsequent analysis of the blood count, of which 39 children with iron deficiency anemia were obtained, who made up the sample group and 20 children without iron deficiency anemia formed the control group. In a next phase, the first delivery of 15 arequipes was made for each child in each group, for a total of 885 Arequipes then in the second delivery the procedure was repeated. Two weeks after the delivery of arequipes, a second sample was taken, which allowed verifying the efficiency of the moringa fortified arequipe. According to the survey of parents, it could be seen that very few parents have knowledge on the subject and due to the conditions that Venezuela presents in their country, they do not have the necessary resources for the adequate feeding of their children.
