The heart is the main organ of the circulatory system, it is a hollow muscular structure that works like a blood pump, which distributes it throughout the body, the volume and weight vary according to age and sex, in men it is more voluminous and it has an approximate weight of 200 and 250 grams and is located anatomically in the thorax. This work correlates the cardiac anatomy of human hearts with diagnostic studies used in the clinic such as: echocardiogram, cardiac catheterization and cardiac resonance, in order to obtain a detailed description of each of the structures that make it up. They compose, their location, disposition, description of the pericardium, its cavities and its irrigation will be mentioned. The objective of this work is to serve as a reference and didactic tool for undergraduate and graduate students in the health area.
