The building of the old San Carlos Mill, where a wheat mill and a thermoelectric plant had been operating since the second decade of the 20th century is a Facatativá cultural property, it is a town located at Cundinamarca department, near Bogotá. It is classified as an industrial heritage of the town, its architectural characteristics are obvious, although despite its accelerated deterioration process due to its current use: dispatch of inter-municipal transport services. The aim of this master’s degree in Conservation of Immovable Cultural Heritage final work is proposing a restoration project to preserve this historic building, reinforce its cultural values and boost it with a compatible use.
