The present work intends to share a thoughtful invitation about transcription, comparative analysis and the methodological proposal for making chord melodies, in this case, in the style of Mateus Asato. The present work intends to share a thoughtful invitation about transcription, comparative analysis and the methodological proposal for making chord melodies, in this case, in the style of Mateus Asato. An approach to transcription is presented as an invitation to live musical experiences that strengthen the incorporation of theoretical information contained in the musical product available on different platforms. A relationship with the analysis work is shared, explores elements that I consider pertinent according to Nicholas Cook to identify stylistic and structural elements in the sample extracted through the transcription of four pieces by Mateus Asato, (two compositions and two arrangements) and the route methodological to compare pieces with each other by means of graphs or images that give an intuitive appreciation of the elements that stand out for their frequency of occurrence. Finally, it offers an approach to the application of these elements to gospel transcribed melodies in order to present arrangements written in sheet music and performed on the electric guitar.
