Anxiety is a very popular psychological factor that has been extensively studied in sports, including soccer, where many authors evaluate how it influences athlete performance. In this sense, the objective of this research work has focused on recognizing the research contributions that have emerged between 2010 and 2020 on the relationship between anxiety factors and sports performance in youth soccer players. For this, a documentary review has been carried out, selecting a total of 22 scientific studies published in updated databases mainly in Science Direct, Web of Science, Journal of Sport and Health Research, Redalyc, SciELO, Researchgate. As a result, it has been possible to show that in the last 10 years different views have been documented on the way in which anxiety influences the sports performance of youth soccer players, where other variables take place in said interaction causing there is no definitive consensus on the way how the correlation between the two factors in question develops
