Computer security is one of the most important activities of any center that provides computer services, however in many institutions this aspect is neglected and adequate policies are not even established to guarantee the protection of resources (software and hardware). The problem is aggravated in some educational institutions where even the risks to which their tangible and intangible assets are subjected on a daily basis are unknown. The present work traces the goal of proposing adequate security policies for the San Sebastián de La Plata educational institution, which will be embodied in a set of recommendations that guarantee: the integrity of the information stored in the computing means, the non-existence of documents unrelated to the social purpose of the school and access control to external sites. The research is based on a study that is supported by surveys of high school students and a set of interviews with those in charge of the systems area. To process the data obtained, non-probabilistic statistics are used.
