In order to analyze corporate social responsibility (hereinafter CSR) and its influence on the Environmental Administration, an account of CSR was developed, its origins, evolution and characteristics. Likewise, the doctrinal references of their performance in the business environment, their contributions and scoops for social and environmental management were determined. Through a historical journey of the incursion of social and environmental actions in organizations, which goes beyond purely economic actions, economic and ethical theories are identified in a debate between the results for shareholders and the commitments with the other interest groups. To demonstrate how business actions have a direct influence on society and the environment. As a result, a meticulous review of the most significant advances that underlie corporate social responsibility is presented, making an analysis with the foundation of the Environmental Administration.
