In the entire construction sector, technical supervision of civil works by qualified personnel is of vital importance. This project is based on the internship that took place in the III Urban Police Inspection of Piedecuesta, which has as a principal aim the supervision and control of the civil works in execution nowadays in the municipality. As a civil work supervisor from the urban control office, the implementation and the fulfillment of the country’s current regulations must be guaranteed. For that reason, inspection, vigilance, control and monitoring of all the civil works on implementation phase and the ones already executed in the municipality of Piedecuesta is of the upmost importance. The regulation used in this office is the Reglamento Colombiano de Construcción Sismo Resistente NSR-10, Acuerdo 028 Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial (POT), Ley 1801 del 2016 art. 135, Ley 1228 del 2008 y Decreto 1203 del 2017. It is important to emphasize that "the inspection of a civil work is the activity that is done with the purpose of guaranteeing that its execution takes place in agreement with the technical standards, specifications, construction plans and the rest of documents that constitute the project." (Echeverria, p. 2.) In the development of the internship, shortcomings were demonstrated in the gathering of information. For this reason, the formats of field ocular visit record and certificate of visit in the inobservant property were created. The structure of these formats organizes the existing information facilitating the accomplishment of the report in search of an optimization in the data collection.
