Evaluación del Comportamiento Mecánico de una Mezcla Densa en Caliente Tipo 19 con Diferentes Porcentajes de Reemplazo de Arena por Relaves de la Minería de Agregados del Rio Guayuriba.
This document develops the investigation of the modification of a hot dense asphalt mixture with aggregate mining waste to determine if it complies with the regulations of the National Institute of Roads (INVIAS, 2013), called “evaluation of the mechanical behavior of a dense hot mix type 19 (MDC-19) with different percentages of sand replacement by tailings from the aggregates mining of the Guayuriba River”. An experimental and descriptive approach study is carried out, all based on the standards and specifications of the National Highways Institute (INVIAS, 2013), a reliable methodology applied at the national level. The results allowed to establish that the materials used for the manufacture of the MDC-19 under study comply with the INVIAS 2013 standards; Furthermore, 5.5% of asphalt cement is the optimal percentage for this mix; however, the mix with 25% sand replacement by tailings at 5.5% CA shows to improve the mechanical properties of conventional MDC-19.
