Table soccer, as it is known in Colombia, has taken a step towards its organization in 2002, when the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) was created as the governing body of table soccer worldwide and also in charge of promoting the organized and regulated practice of table soccer. Currently the International Federation has licensed more than 50 countries around the five continents as Members. Knowing the international development where it works at a high technical, sporting and organizational level, the opportunity to create in Colombia an entity that organizes and regulates this practice is observed, that is why in 2017 the Colombian Table Foosball Association was born as the first national entity with the aim of promoting, sponsoring and organizing Table Soccer in all its modalities and categories of the national level, therefore we specialize in the training and development of people, for the subsequent representation in national and international tournaments. At present, we are in a key context for sports and recreational activities, where the need to internationalize the sport to unite countries, as a vehicle for the promotion of competition, physical and mental development has taken more relevance in the rise of new practices, generally typical of a country that have managed to grow to such an extent to be performed around the world, creating the need for the emergence of entities that regulate the different activities that are the most popular and widespread forms of occupation of leisure time and development of skills in humans. Such is the case of the traditional practice of table soccer which is administered since 2002 by the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF International Table Soccer Federation), which has gained considerable ground worldwide with 59 National Federations in the 5 continents of the world, so it began a process with GAISF (Global Association International Sports Federation) to become an official member and thus the various federations to be recognized in the National Olympic Committees or by the highest national sports authorities. Table soccer is a recreational sport that has been practiced over the years in several countries; Argentina, Chile and Peru have been the first in Latin America to take the path of the professionalization of table soccer in our continent, so they have hosted international tournaments such as Copa America and other tournaments supported by the International Federation integrating different countries to the organized practice of table soccer among which is Colombia and thereby strengthen the South American Confederation to the ITSF, However, table soccer or table soccer in Colombia does not have many references, which is considered a board game that allows a pedagogy with children and in places such as companies, bars and universities, have some table soccer tables where young people and adults take advantage of their free time to practice the activity. In Colombia throughout the years, new dispositions of sporting character have been acquired, where new sporting tendencies have been developed in search of the welfare of society, therefore there are opportunities to create ventures around the sports industry as an economic source of the sector. At the District level it is reflected by the number of schools of different alternative sports that have been created giving a source of new practices for users, despite the large number of clubs and schools in Bogota, there is none that focuses on table soccer, nor national federations that its object of work is around table soccer. The information regarding the places of training and practice are scarce, from the lack of training schools and sports clubs, to the low participation of young people in table soccer and therefore there is no ideal environment to create a process of initiation and specialization that guarantees excellent results at national and international level, therefore there is low participation and motivation to practice on the part of the community. Given the above, there are no references on any administrative organization for table soccer that provides solutions to these needs, which the Association intends to be an entity that meets the needs of table soccer players and contributes to the growth of the sports environment both district and national. In front of this context it is considered important for the table soccer in Colombia, the creation of an Association without spirit of profit that is a reference in the sport scope for its administrative organization, to foment the practice in Colombia achieving the reception and the development of the institutionalization of new sport activities.
