The following article aims to perform a documentary review of studies regarding the accident rate that is presented by motorcycles in the city of Bogotá D.C between the years 2005-2017; and finally determine through a descriptive analysis the causes of the mentioned problem. This, with the purpose of proposing improvement actions regarding the accident rate generated by motorcycles, and thus the governmental authorities that have competence in the area of mobility of the city of Bogotá (Secretary of mobility of Bogotá) can implement them. Therefore, the review is based on studies from multiple sources conducted in the city of Bogotá, in order to identify the reasons for the substantial increase in accidents during the period of study.
