Gestation is a stage of physical, physiological and psychological changes in which the woman counts on the support and family accompaniment, which contribute to the preparation for the birth of the new human being. This culminates with the process of labor, where the pregnant woman feels a series of emotions and need for accompaniment, this is violated by the protocols implemented within the institutions where the entry of a companion is restricted in the whole process, for this reason, nurses play an important role in the life of the pregnant woman as she enters to make her main sustenance to face this new stage. The objective of the project is to identify the perception of the pregnant women regarding the care received during labor and delivery, through a descriptive crosssectional study using the database provided by the statistical area of the San José hospital in the City of Buga, with a sample of 40 patients, where a survey was applied to obtain the information. The perception scale created by Kristen Swanson establishes two categories regarding care, which are competent healer and healing healer, within the research it was obtained that the highest percentage in the items evaluated represent the compassionate healer with a 75% compliance against the competent healer, this derivative of humanization policies of the institution, where it is evident that quality Care is provided.
