Comprensión De La Construcción De Significados Entorno A La Orientación Profesional A Través De Las Narrativas De Los Estudiantes Del Grado 11 De La Institución Educativa German Arciniegas En La Ciudad De Villavicencio.
The objective of this research is to understand the meanings constructed by the eleventh grade students of the Germán Arciniegas Educational Institution in the city of Villavicencio regarding vocational guidance. The research has a qualitative approach that uses the Biographical-Narrative method and the in-depth interview technique. Six (6) students (two men and four women) were invited between the ages of 16 and 19 of the eleventh grade; for the analysis and validation of the results, the researchers performed a triangulation. Based on the results and discussion, the work developed by the educational institution in relation to the professional orientation process is revealed, which focuses on building dreams and fostering attitudes, abilities, skills and talents, where subjects contemplate a more human world and contextualized; On the other hand, the educational institution strengthens the process of professional orientation articulated with the different institutions of higher education in the region (public, private universities, Sena and others). In turn, participating students built a meaning around the academic programs and institutions of higher education offered in such a way that the experience of each of these referents made possible the transformation of the meanings previously constructed by some of the subjects.
