The present report includes the explanation of a self-assessment process of Positive Mental Health in the students of the Faculty of International Trade of the Cooperativa de Colombia University section Bogotá D.C. The research is oriented to the descriptive analysis of the results thrown by the application of a questionnaire with Likert-type response options that assess positive mental health; instrument that was built by Peralta, Perdomo and Romero (2007) which self-evaluates four dimensions: Intra - Psychic or Intra - Personal: it is related to the existential mode 'singular' (relation of the subject with himself, and even with his own body) , Relational Dimension: refers to the 'dual' existential mode (I-you, intimacy, love), Projective Dimension: resumes the 'plural' existential mode (I-he or I-them, struggle, competition, formal relationships), Quality of Life dimension and social context: This is related to the 'anonymous' existential mode (which is the way of living and relating individually within an anonymous community). As main results, it was found that poverty, unemployment, type of occupation, age, economy and other social characteristics are associated separately or interactively with the physical and mental health conditions of individuals. For International Commerce students the quality of life that they establish gives them an unsound identity, they perceive the non-fulfillment of their rights as citizens and perceive that the Country in which they live does not meet their needs because there is no system or fair social environment.
