The purpose of the degree project was to design the structure and content of six stories that promote self-esteem as an aspect of positive mental health in children from seven to nine years old, which are accompanied by a set of playful and practical activities for their application that generate a fun and entertaining experience. For this, a profile of the different characters was created, in such a way that they were attractive to the small reader, reflecting a close, daily and proper context of the country and the realities of the child. The material was applied in three sessions, in which two stories were narrated for each session accompanied by their respective application strategy. The focal population was eight children between the ages of seven and nine, with a socio-economic level three of Fontibón. It was observed in the experience that the minors were perceived attracted by the type of reading since it is not alien to their context and the stories that are presented there are similar to their stories and life stories. The children shared experiences with their peers and fed back on these stories, so we can demonstrate an interpersonal listening and a coexistence approach at the group level.
