Resumen: En esta investigación, se caracterizó la dinámica de comercio exterior del sector hortofrutícola en relación con las frutas deshidratadas en el departamento de Risaralda en el periodo 2014 – 2019, se fundamentó en principales teóricos de comercio exterior y de cadenas de valor así mismo, asociaciones que pertenecen al gremio que se unen para generar mayor competitividad frente al mercado nacional e internacional. Por otro lado, se analizaron las principales falencias que presenta el sector desde su producción, transformación hasta su comercialización donde se logró evidenciar amenazas, pero así mismo retos y oportunidades desde una mirada de cada actor que permita dar valor a la cadena y permitir el fortalecimiento del sector en el departamento de Risaralda apoyándose del Plan Nacional de Desarrollo y la Política Nacional Logística. /Abstract: this is the summary in english. In this research, was characterized the dynamics if foreign trade of the fruit and vegetable sector related to dehydrated fruits in the department of Risaralda in the period 2014-2019, it was based on main theorists of foreign trade and value chain as well, associations joined that belong to the guild to generated greater competitiveness in the national and international market. By the other hand, the main deficiencies of the sector were analyzed since the production to his commercialization, making threats, challenges and opportunities evident from each sector perspective that allow to give value to the chain and the consolidation of the actor perspective that allow to give value to the chain and the consolidation of the actor in the Risaralda´s department, based on the National Development Plan and National Logistic Policy
