The nutritional status of any person is the result of the needs of different foods, the intake, absorption and utilization of the nutrients contained in these foods (1). In recent years, it has become increasingly clear that nutrition plays an important role in the growth and maintenance of oral tissues and mainly dental tissues (2). In developed countries, the main cause of death of children and infants is malnutrition. Another nutritional problem is obesity, considered an epidemic in the 21st century, which affects children and adults (1). The eruption of a tooth is a physiological process in which multiple aspects occur. The process of growth and maturation of the teeth in the dental arch is called odontogenesis. Bacteria spread in the arch, erupt in the mouth and establish its function. This process is part of the craniofacial growth(6). According to the collected studies, the relationship between nutritional status and tooth eruption in children under 4 years old of age; this research will explain if there is a relationship between nutritional status and tooth eruption in the child, and how it will be affected. This research seeks to raise awareness among parents or caregivers about the nutrition problem and rash that a child may have, and how it will be affected. This research was based on associating the nutritional status and the sequence of the dental eruption, being this fundamental for the health in general, since a nutritional problem exists, which causes difficulties and delays in the dental eruption (1).
