Law 1801 of 2016 or National Code of Police and Citizen Coexistence has as its central objective the promotion of citizen coexistence through the fulfillment of duties, with a normative framework to correct and prevent behaviors that affect social relations in a community environment and that through its effective application, to avoid that these conflicts transcend the 12 judicial or criminal scope. The research has been proposed as an objective to analyze the challenges and difficulties that the Municipalities of Cucutilla, Arboledas, Salazar, Santiago, Gramalote, Lourdes and Villa Caro have in the effective application of Law 1801 of 2016. Through a survey of the responsible agents in each of the Municipalities of the application of Law 1801 of 2016, mayors, Municipal Inspector and Police Commander of each municipality was able to identify that among the difficulties for the efficient application of Law 1801 of 2016 is the low financial capacity of these municipalities to build the necessary infrastructure: Municipal sewer, Center for the protection of persons transferred by police procedure.
