This research comes from the interest to study the experience of poetry reading, inside Juana Escobar School IED. It is then proposed, a main objective focused on enriching the interpretive possibilities of lyrical text with cycle II children, through literary workshop. The above mentioned as the result of analyzing the literary reading proposals in the institution, as well as examining different researches that evidence a low interest in this kind of texts especially in basic education. The theoretical perspective mainly revolves around lyrical communication, interpretation and reading process of lyrical text. Also, the language sociocultural approach is appealed, to value the social interaction in the development and learning processes. Therefore, the methodology is based on the qualitative approach and takes Action research as design, under which, a series of literary workshops for intervention are structured. Finally, an important reflection is displayed about how the project structure is made to create a positive intervention on the participating population reality. In the same way a transformation process analysis is presented, which is born on the researching teacher in a personal and professional level.
