Within the framework of call 15 of 2013 of the Scientific Research and Development Center, the Alunantes seedbed, of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Pedagogy, carried out this research with which we intended to take another step in the consolidation of gender studies as a fundamental part of the teacher training processes in said degree, highlighting the importance of addressing these studies by assuming the concept of gender as a transversal category that crosses all the training processes of higher education students. The research focused on the recognition of the main tendencies of gender imaginaries that are manifested among the undergraduate students of the foundation cycle who had just entered level 1 of training in the first semester of 2013, through the exploration of various procedures of verbo-iconic expression (integration of writings, collages and paintings) implemented in the pedagogical work of the arts area. In this way, it seeks to contribute to the subsequent approach to this topic in the curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Pedagogy and to the consolidation of gender studies as a fundamental part of the teacher training processes in the bachelor's degree and at the Francisco José District University. from Caldas.
