Bird tourism (Figure 2) corresponds to an INNOVATIVE source of income in little explored territories and whose productive alternatives are scarce, this activity is in accordance with conservation strategies taking into account that the final objective is to prevent the extinction of species, appreciate them in their natural environment and being able to live in harmony with them, keeping their populations at ecologically healthy levels. Keeping the above clear, the objective of this protocol is to be a tool within the intercultural context of Vaupés to initiate bird-tourism activities, most of the department is dominated by indigenous reservation territories whose productive activities are based on the cultivation of native forest species for its own consumption, bringing with it wooded areas in a state of absolute conservation or low intervention, which is why identifying the potential of these ecosystems as wildlife safeguards for their use and exploitation IN SITU becomes a new alternative for the municipality, bringing I get new options for the population by carrying out an activity of low impact for the ecosystem and with good economic repercussions for the department.
