The proposed research aims to understand the processes of academic mobility in nine universities of the central branch of – ASCOFADE-Bogotá and the Colombian Association of Early Childhood Education- ACDEP-, regarding teacher training for childhood from the framework of the existing national educational guidelines and policies. This proposal arises from a qualitative approach with a participatory research methodology which allows you to build different understandings of academic mobility within the framework of national educational guidelines and policies based on dialogue and inter-subjectivity, thus, building the path to develop such understandings. It is part of a process of reflexive and collective development where research is characterized by openness, flexibility and foresight. The findings of this proposal will be supported by the epistemological foundation of the socio-critical theory and the paradigm of complexity; the conceptual basis will be related to childhood’s pedagogy, pedagogical practice, training areas, academic mobility, and educational guidelines and policies. The methodological approach will be based on participatory research with a critical attitude and ethical stance in order to characterize the processes and dynamics of participating institutions to generate a proposal that enhances the exchange and academic mobility for mutual strengthening, synergistic work, and common and homogeneous growth of higher education institutions
