Teager's algorithm (Kaiser, 1990) called here Teager's filter, has previously been shown to be a useful contrast enhancer with good qualitative behavior on images (Mitra and Li, 1992). We consider its set of root signals, it nullity set and its constancy set. We derive expressions for the output probability density function when the input is white noise.
