Abstract:

Results: Argentina to 11% in Venezuela); Prevalence according severity of airflow limitation was: 23.8% GOLD 1, 51.1% GOLD 2, 18.7% GOLD 3 and 6.4% GOLD 4. COPD prevalence was higher in men (23.1% vs. 18%; p= 0.01), in older subjects (40-49 yrs 2.7% vs. 50-59 yrs 13.5% vs.≥ 60 yrs 33.5%; p< 0.01), with higher smoking exposure> 20 pack-years (25.5% vs. 11%; p< 0.01) and lower BMI (< 24.9 kg/m 31.8% vs. 25-29.9 2 kg/m 18% vs.≥ 30 kg/m 13.2%).
