Methods: We included a cohort of cancer patients admitted to an oncologic ICU with septic shock between 4/1/2016 and 3/31/2017. We collected data on microbiologic cultures, infection sources, and outcomes. Cox regression and multivariate analyses were performed using SPSS v 25. Results: A total of 1,635 patients were admitted to the ICU in the study period. Among the 223 patients with septic shock, 53 patients (24%) were culture negative during their admission.
