PYVV, family Closteroviridae, genus Crinivirus, is a phloem limited virus with a tripartite, ssRNA genome, covered with a two protein capsid, found in Andean countries. Symptoms include yellowing of the leaf apex until leaflets are fully cholorotic. PYVV is vegetatively transmitted and its vector is Trialeurodes vaporariorum.
