For this analysis the first and the last waves were used in order to test the association with 3-year mortality with Cox regression models to estimate hazard ratios with confounding variables (age, sex, marital and smoking status). Regarding multivariate analyses, the adjusted Cox regression model showed that frail older adults had a higher association with mortality (hazard ratio 1.6 95% confidence interval 1.05-2.6, p= 0.025) and those with lung disease and frailty had the highest hazard ratio (1.95, 95% confidence interval 1.18-3.2, p
