We are spaces of inscriptions. The whole body is a surface of footprints and marks. The aesthetic trace, the drawings that life makes in the body, everything we live is printed on each one of us. This creation-research proposal explores that material, emotional, symbolic, and spiritual traces from body cartographies and bio-body-geo-graphic paths through motherhood, pregnancy, and birth stories. The cartographic readings and creation of the proposal sur-versive motherhoods, allow us to recognize new paths and sense-making which are vital, cognitive, emotional, bodily, aesthetic, and political. These new paths will enable us to understand the traces left by the violence on our women bodies. At the same time, it would help us to acknowledge the emancipatory keys in the awareness of childbirth and its relation to how we are living our motherhoods. Eight women, eight bodies, eight tissues.
