Análisis de variables ecohidrológicas e hidráulicas en la implementación de metodologías para determinar caudales ambientales en ecosistemas de alta montaña y páramo.
Hydrological, hydraulic and ecosystem variables used in methodologies to determine environmental flows were analyzed in order to establish their importance in páramo and high mountain ecosystems. The study was carried out in La Chorrera basin located between the municipalities of Toca and Tuta in the department of Boyacá (Colombia), taking the information in two time periods, dry season and rainy season. The ecological functionality was evaluated using macroinvertebrate communities as an indicator, the water environmental services offered by the basin were analyzed, focusing on water quality based on ecosystem needs and current and potential uses. Multivariate statistical methods were used to determine the relationships between the variables studied and finally an approximation of environmental flows for neutral years and with periods of climatic variability was proposed. The flow regime of the basin presented a bimodal behavior, significant differences were observed in the variables sampled between sampling times, and important associations were found between the hydraulic variables, water quality and macroinvertebrate population.
