The integrative aspect of this proposal enables a greater use of viable, environmentally friendly technologies. The outcome is a technological cluster designed to attach multiple processes for by-products pre-treatment with different biological processes. The products generated at each step of the overall process may have different uses, from food and animal feed to generating electricity, in a way that the global energy efficiency of each constituent subsystem increases.
