This paper is intended to be a proposal for the reflection on scenarios that have not been sufficiently explored in the forensic physical anthropology exercise, as it is its contribution to unveiling alleged violations to the right to health. Several epidemiological sources were reviewed to establish which are the pathologies more related to mortality in Colombia, which of those are linkaged to poverty and social inequality, and which of those have osteological manifestations. It was established that malnutrition and tuberculosis meet such conditions, so a review of the paleopathological literature was conducted to establish their more common signs in bone. Finally, it is suggested what would be the minimum contextual information needed by the authorities to interpret the findings made by forensic experts in order to establish a possible violation to the right to health.
