This descriptive action research study, was developed through different surveys, control groups, interviews and students' life stories. This study was carried out at the "Institución Educativa Rural Departamental Integrada Valle de Tenjo sede El Chacal" with students from seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth grade. The main goal of this research was to know about the perceptions and students' practices about their body modifications to know more about their social, cultural, and feelings by means tattoos, piercings in a rural area, with the purpose of foster their own identity before the society.
