This action research (AR) project shows how the implementation of the Task-Based Learning (TBL) approach influences students¿ motivation and use of language in third grade at a public co-educational institution in Medellín. The results of this proposal show that the implementation of Task-Based activities promote students¿ participation, motivation, language use, and group work in class. These achievements prove the effectiveness of the TBL approach and the usefulness of this project but it is important to keep in mind that the process of designing the activities and the tasks is time consuming and requires experience, because of this, teachers should carefully plan the learning objectives through the development of each task.
