The problem addressed in this work is the use of cyber-genres to develop a taste for reading, on the one hand, and on the other, the development of reading comprehension skills in 10th grade students of the average of two institutions of the department of Antioquia. For this it is assumed that reading is a process that has to go beyond decoding the writing, and approaching the understanding of the meanings, both those that can be inferred from a text and those that are found in an intertextual way to reach the critical level of reading. The methodology employed adopts a series of information collection instruments such as the survey and the observation log. For the analysis of the data elements of basic descriptive statistics were used, but above all the interpretation from the perspective of participatory action research. Within the results can be noted that it is necessary to delve into the use of cyber-genres at the same time it is necessary to link them to the digital and printed text.
