The International Labor Organization -OIT- has been the institution that for decades, has championed the use of the concept of decent work, however to the various efforts of said institution, it could be said that the conditions that present today in the labor market. They have not specified it to be carried out. Now, Colombia has sought to start a public labor policy, to seek to carry out the establishment of clear objectives that allow the transformation so that working conditions respond to access to working conditions that allow improving condi tions, not only economic but social of the people. The purpose of this chapter is to explore from a qualitative methodology how in various sectors, the components that have been defined to guarantee decent work in any productive sector have been applied to achieve greater market competitiveness.
