RESUMEN: Son múltiples los instrumentos y herramientas necesarias para una adecuada gestión y administración pública en las instituciones gubernamentales, las políticas de gestión documental y de archivos por supuesto, ofrecen herramientas de trabajo que, al ser utilizadas, brindan toda clase de beneficios en términos de valor público, es por ello, que emplearlas o no, puede ser el reflejo del nivel de modernización de la entidad que las implementa o las omite. Este trabajo justamente analiza el nivel de eficiencia en la implementación de las Tablas de Retención Documental en la Gobernación de Antioquia durante el periodo de administración 2016-2019. Se concluye que tras la realización de una transferencia documental primaria se evidencia no solo el cumplimiento de una tarea, sino la responsabilidad frente a la información pública. ABSTRACT: There are multiple instruments and tools necessary for proper management and public administration in government institutions; document and archive management policies, of course, offer work tools that, when used, provide all kinds of benefits in terms of public value. That is why using them or not may be a reflection of the level of modernization of the entity that implements or omits them. This work precisely analyzes the level of efficiency in the implementation of the Documentary Retention Tables in the Government of Antioquia during the 2016-2019 administration period. It is concluded that after carrying out a primary documentary transfer, not only the fulfillment of a task is evidenced, but also the responsibility towards public information.
