Among the pests of most concern to citrus growers in the state of Para, the citrus Black-fly, Aleurocanthus woglumi (hemiptera: aleyrodidae) causes direct or indirect damage to citrus plants, besides being an A2 trigger alert pest, restricting trade with other regions. As it is an exotic pest, recently introduced, there is a lack of knowledge regarding its management in the Amazon region. Aleurocanthus woglumi was observed to be attacking African mahogany (Khaya ivorensis A. Chev.) in reforested parts of Eastern Amazonia. This is the first reported case of citrus blackfly attacking African mahogany in Brazilian Amazonia. NOTA doi:10.4322/rca.2011.042 Farias et al. / Rev. Ci. Agra., v.54, n.1, p.87-90, Jan/Abr 2011
