Relate disability and health-related quality of life in adults with disabilities in the city of Sabanalarga, Atlantico (Colombia, 2017). Materials and method. Descriptive study of correlational scope with 125 participants with disabilities over 20 years of age from the city of Sabanalarga, Atlantico Department, Colombia, who have been permanently limited for more than six months. The WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire was used to assess disability and the WHOQOL-Bref to establish the health-related quality of life of the population with disabilities. Results. According to the areas of disability evaluated with the WHO-DAS 2.0, global disability presented a mild degree in almost half of the sample, the area of activities of daily living was the one that presented the highest average score in the mild degree . The general quality of life was evaluated with a score of 68,240 on a scale of 0 to 100, with the highest score obtained for the interpersonal relations domain and the lowest for the physical domain. Conclusion. Significant and inverse relationships were found for all HRQOL domains except environment with age and age ranges. These findings suggest that the older the age, the lower the perception of quality of life and vice versa. Occupation showed a statistical relationship with all domains, all areas and global disability showed a significant and inverse relationship with the HRQL domains, the global disability score showed the best association strength with all domains, the above allows us to state that in In the participating population, the best perception of quality of life is associated with less disability.
