In the following article the results obtained when applying appear a technique of Agglomerative Hierarchic Clustering based on the frequencies of the modes, to three data bases constituted with information referring to five aspects considered important in the education of students in adult’s age. The conformation of the three data bases became from a applied survey the student populations of the institute of Comfenalco education. The algorithm of applied group, extracted groups in each one of the three data bases, based in the similarities of the registries and the modes of the groups that were been satisfied. The objective of this application was to characterize the student population of the Institute of Comfenalco Education to obtain models of students. Although the final results show a selection of few characteristics for each one of the groups, the difference between the groups is significant. This paper shows the results obtained from a research project made by the University of Medellin and the Institute of Education of Comfenalco Antioquia, the project is titled: “Construccion de modelos de estudiantes en edad-extraescolar y asignacion de estrategias pedagogicas con tecnicas de aprendizaje de maquinas”.
