El objetivo de la investigacion fue identificar la relacion entre estrategias de aprendizaje y Rendimiento Academico, en 101 estudiantes Universitarios. La prueba utilizada fue la Escala de Estrategias de Aprendizaje Abreviada para Estudiantes Universitarios, ACRA. Los resultados arrojados por el inventario se correlacionaron con el promedio academico, tomado este a partir de las notas obtenidas en las asignaturas de caracter disciplinar. Los resultados de las diversas correlaciones muestran el peso que tiene la motivacion de caracter intrinseco en el aprendizaje, ya que es el factor que tiene mayor indice tanto en el analisis item por item como el realizado en las subpruebas. En la correlacion entre promedio en area de formacion y total en subpruebas los resultados muestran que los mayores indices de correlacion se presentaron para Conciencia de la funcionalidad de las estrategias Vs. Campos de Aplicacion y Motivacion Intrinseca Vs. Investigacion. Palabras clave: estrategias de aprendizaje, rendimiento academico, correlacion y Escala de Estrategias de Aprendizaje ACRA Abreviada para Estudiantes Universitarios SUMMARY The objective of this research was to identify the correlation between the learning strategies and Academic performance, in a population of 101 university students. The used tool was the Scale of Strategies of Learning adapted for University Students, ACRA. The obtained results were correlated with the academic average, taken from the grades obtained by the students in the main subjects, ‘the ones that are part of their field of study`. The different correlated results show the importance of intrinsic motivation in the process of learning. This factor has the highest index in the analysis item by item as well as in the subtests. In the correlation between the average in the training area (educational area) and the subtests altogether, the results show that the highest indices are found in consciousness of functionality of the strategies versus fields of application and intrinsic motivation versus investigation.
