PROCEDIMIENTO DE DISEÑO ESTRUCTURAL CON BASE EN LAS NSR-98, ERRORES, EJEMPLOS Y PROPUESTAS DE ACTUALIZACIÓN STRUCTURAL DESIGN PROCEDURES BASED ON NSR-98 ERRORS, EXAMPLES AND UPDATE PROPOSALS
In this work, Title C, and of some aspects related to it in Titles A and B, of the Colombian standards for earthquake resistant design and construction, NSR-98 (Law 400 of 1997 and their regulation ordinances) are reviewed and studied. Title C of NSR-98 is dedicated to the design and construction of structures of structural concrete,. Decree 1400 of 1984 regulated the first Colombian code for earthquake resistant constructions, the Colombian Earthquake Resistant Design and Construction Code (Codigo Colombiano de Construcciones Sismo Resistentes), CCCSR-84, based on the work of Committee AIS-100 of the Colombian Association of Seismic Engineering, AIS, and created by presidential order soon after important damages caused in Popayan by the earthquake of 1983.
