This paper aims to develop a new mission and vision for the company CEPSA COLOMBIA SA with which it seeks to bring coherence to what they expressed in their statement and establish an explicit link between strategic routings that represent and activities undertaken by the organization , identity, projections and targets; so that they are clear to all staff who have contact with the company. CEPSA COLOMBIA SA is an organization dedicated to the exploration and production of oil and refining, distribution and marketing of petroleum products . Currently has an exploration in the Colombian territory , specifically in the departments of Meta , Casanare and Vichada , where seven oil blocks operated directly by the organization and four remaining blocks by a non - operating partner removed. Current production is 29,975 barrels of oil per day , placing it in the number five production company , among forty-nine manufacturing companies in the country. The organization has a total of 300 employees, including managerial, coordination , administrative and operational . In 2012 the company conducted a process evaluation of the workplace to discuss the state of their internal dynamics. For this, an organizational climate survey and from their results was applied , it was possible to know the perception of the employees of the organization against corporate policies ; identified that the mission and vision established by the company and have no agreement with the activities carried out therein. Drawing on the results obtained from the evaluation of the work environment , a review of the mission and vision proposed by Cepsa Colombia SA , in contrast to the theoretical and conceptual foundations of strategic planning , in order to be able to define a framework was conducted action that seeks to provide a new approach to these two elements of corporate policy; ie create a new mission and vision in its formulation covering corporate identity and organizational goals .
