The African descendant people have been considered as “traveling people”, from the diaspora they suffered in the Indias, to the mobilization in the colonial and republican period in America. In this sense, how to understand their territorial dynamics, their space and community links, their identity processes, resistance and visibility movements? These questions could be answered by the perception and interpretation of various academics who have studied the topic before. Therefore, the objective of this investigation is to characterize the interpretative tendencies of various researchers about the African descendant people migration during the first half of the 20th century and the way in which these interpretations have changed as result of the ideological and social changes in Colombia and the academy in the last sixty years.
