El Deber De Información Al Consumidor Financiero: Caso De Los Deudores De Créditos Hipotecarios En La Crisis Del 2008 (The Duty of Information to the Financial Consumer: The Mortgage Crisis)
The obligation to inform has developed oriented in the consumer’s free and responsible consent. This duty reduces the inequality between the enterprises and the consumers. Due to the special characteristics of the consumer-financial entities relationship, the obligation to inform the financial consumer requires a special analysis and consideration. The dramatic situation experienced during the 2008 crisis revealed that some mortgage debtors didn’t have the right knowledge of the loans they had acquired. This shows that giving information to the consumer is not enough, taking into account the complexity of products like mortgage credits, the education of the consumer is required.
