Problem: although the use of reduced games as a means to improve technical tactical performance in sports such as soccer is on the rise, it is necessary to deepen their knowledge (definition, design, physical demands, periodization, relationship with the means and methods and other sports training tools) and verify their effectiveness. Objective: to design a training plan based on reduced games to improve the technical tactical performance of university soccer players from a university institution in Medellin-Colombia. Method: a search was carried out in scientific databases, selecting 20 documents on small games as a means of training in soccer. Based on their analysis and the knowledge and experience of the authors, the training plan was developed. Results: a training plan for college soccer players based on reduced games was developed to improve their technical and tactical performance. Conclusion: the proposed training plan could improve the tactical-technical performance in athletes, considering that they will constantly face stimuli related to contextual game actions, through reduced games, global exercises and problematic situations, in interaction with colleagues, opponents, coach, playing space and physical environment, which would have a satisfactory effect on their sporting performance.
